What’s Your Sign?

by Becky Tyre

When customers near your store, you only have a few seconds to grab their attention. What message is your store sign sending?

Here is a quick checklist to make sure your store’s sign is speaking the right language.

Placement

Do you need a mounted sign that is visible as customers drive by? Do you need a hanging sign for customers walking by? If you use more than one sign, make sure they are consistent.

Style

Choose an attractive color scheme and a font style that is easy to read.

The bright, cheery colors here are consistent with the gift shop’s exterior and draw customers in.

Stand-Outs

Consider your neighbors’ signs. You want your sign to stand out, but not look out of place.

Lighting

Do you need a sign that lights up or do you need separate lighting mounted, to illuminate your sign?

Durability

Quality signage is a must. Your exterior signs should last for years and need to withstand all weather conditions.

The whimsical bubbles not only add a touch of cute to the store sign, they also underscore this gift shop’s primary products.
