Licensed to Merchandise By Becky Tyre

Use your creative license when it comes to displaying specific artists’ lines. These ideas should help.

Using an accent color for props and display backdrops adds dimension and makes a collection pop. This technique is most effective when you choose a color other than the most prominent one from the collection, which is why Demdaco chose orange rather than blue accents for the Caroline Simas display.

Stores that stock logo merchandise of major brands or sports teams, are wise to invest in props and filler items in the same colors. Using the theme colors or team colors grounds the display and creates a cohesive look, as shown here in a Harley Davidson display of Tervis Tumblers.

At Best Buddies in St. Petersburg FL, a plush BOO display includes a photograph of the real BOO, reinforcing the amazing likeness of the toy to the real dog. Retailers can request press images to use in displays or even frame pages from consumer and trade magazines to emphasize the popularity of a product.
