Garden Lovers Paradise At Little Tree NurseryBy Leigh MedeirosSeekonk.Patch.com

Colorful blooms, unusual trees, quirky garden statues and quaint cottages help make Little Tree Nursery a great destination spot. Little Tree is a 47-acre property home to multiple greenhouses, growing fields, a gift store and other custom built outbuildings.

Started by the Przybyla Family in 1947, Little Tree remained a more modest operation until 1997 when it was purchased by Eddy McCaughey, a landscaper who grew up just across the street. McCaughey and his retired father spent the last fourteen years expanding both the customer base and the physical property. They currently have seven employees to help them with everything from landscaping to gift sales.

Little Tree grows hundreds of perennials, shrubs, ornamental grasses, and a wide variety of trees, most of them grown on the property. Trees are their specialty, and they offer everything from evergreens to flowering and ornamental varieties. Visitors are welcome to stroll the 14 acres open to the public and take in the wide selection.

“Working here is like therapy,” salesperson Ann Strycharz says of the beautiful environment.

McCaughey and crew also offer residential and commercial landscaping services including complete yard clean up, tree planting, remodeling and more.

“If you bring in pictures of your home we can design something, or give ideas ,” said McCaughey. “We can also go on site for a consultation and make recommendations.”
