Dover Woman’s American Made Teddy Bears go on Sale at Smithsonian
Brandywine Hundred, DE – Debbie Spencer of Dover was struck by how hard it was these days to find goods made in the U.S.A when she watched ABC’s Made in America series.
Spencer had been making teddy bears for 25 years in her Dover home, but the special report inspired her to make a bear completely out of materials manufactured in America.
Spencer researched for months to find all the materials she needed from Wisconsin to New York and started producing Ambear: The All-American Bear. She started production in her home six weeks ago.
