Stevens Point, WI – J.D. Manville said he didn’t get around to closing his store until 5:30 p.m. Christmas Eve, well past its posted closing time of 3 p.m.

Manville, the owner of JadeCo Stamp & Hobby, moved to 927 Main St. in Stevens Point in February 2012 after about 14 years in Plover. He said the move has been great for his business, and this holiday season was one of his best.

“We had really good days before and after Christmas, and even all the way back to November has been strong, so I’m really pleased,” said Manville, who found that board games and models were among the most popular items at his store this year.
