Lynchburg, VA – Chocolate is chocolate, right?

Not exactly, especially if you’re Carl and Mary Matice, owners of downtown Lynchburg’s Cao Artisan Chocolates, Handcrafted from the Bean.

For the couple, making chocolate began as a hobby, inspired by the 2000 Johnny Depp film “Chocolat,” which Mary watched during a girls’ night while the Matices lived in upstate New York.
