Lake Placid, FL – Step into The Blueberry Patch Fine Gifts at 124 E. Interlake Blvd., in Lake Placid and you immediately realize this is a shop designed for fun. From the hilarious signage to the smiles behind the register, you’re sure to enjoy the visit.

“We liked the store so much and had shopped here ourselves,” explains owner Tracee Smoak, telling how she, Kym Smoak and Samantha Price became the owners. “My husband had passed in June 2008 and in December, I found out the Blueberry Patch was for sale.” Needing a way to begin interacting in the community again, she shared the news with Kym. “She thought it sounded fun.”

Realizing it would be overwhelming to manage alone, they included Samantha in on the plan. “We are all related by family,” says Tracee. “One’s a sister-in-law and the other a cousin-in-law. We all had young kids back then and we figured having three of us would help in managing work duties.”
