Up With Paper Introduces Collegiate Boxed Notes & Snow Globe Greetings

Mason, OH – Up With Paper, the original pop-up greeting card company, announced that it will be shipping a new line of university-themed and – licensed pop-up boxed notes and snow globe greetings in August. The collegiate offering of the Tres Panache Boxed Notes and Pop-Up Snow Globe Greetings, samples of which will be available at the National Stationery Show in New York in May, builds on the successful everyday boxed notes and snow globe greeting lines the company unveiled at the National Stationery Show in 2006 and 2005, respectively.

Both lines will be available exclusively in the specialty market, and will feature the logos and mascots from the nations leading universities. The line of university-licensed stationery products will launch with an Ohio State globe and boxed notes for Ohio State and Iowa University, with many more universities to be added in the coming months, including those licensed by Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC), which is the nation’s leading collegiate trademark licensing and marketing company. Both lines are produced under license agreements through the company’s sister division, Champion Treasures.

Similar to Up With Paper’s everyday line, the Boxed Notes will be sold in boxes of eight cards and envelopes, with a suggested retail price of $14.00. The boxed notes are packaged in a unique acetate box with a flip top that enables consumers to experience the paper engineering and high production value of each design, and can be merchandised on any retail shelf. Each features a colorful rendition of the university logo on the cover, and a full-color pop-up of the school mascot on the interior.

The university Pop-Up Snow Globe Greetings feature a meticulously designed paper and plastic globe, surrounding a dimensional image of the school mascot. The globe pops up inside a greeting card featuring the school logo, and may be easily refolded for mailing and storage, or removed from the card for display. With a suggested retail price of $7.00, these unique snow globe greetings can be merchandised in an innovative clip that holds an open sample, with polybagged salable cards underneath; the clip fits into slatwall, an Up With Paper spinner, or can be used as a counter display.

“Our company has its roots in licensed products” said George White, President and COO of Up With Paper, referring to the licensed pop-up greeting cards the company developed in its formative years. “Our retailers have experienced very strong sales of our boxed notes and snow globes, and this is a natural extension for both lines. We are pleased to add another new dimension to our offerings in the specialty market.”

The new university-licensed products are displayed at the Up With Paper booth 3104 at the National Stationery Show, with orders shipping to retailers beginning in August.
