(SAN ANTONIO, Texas) — Thank you for participating in the juvenile products industry main event, the 2008 ABC Kids Expo. This year’s show proved to be a tremendous success for all attendees. Record attendance was achieved in nearly all registration categories, as total attendance climbed to nearly 14,000 (a 7% increase over the prior year).

Buyer attendance jumped an unprecedented 26%, while the total numbers of stores that participated in the show climbed just over 20%.

Attendance by international retailers jumped more than 50% from the 2007 show, as international retailers attending the show represented a total of 59 countries.

A total of 1,114 exhibitors showcased their new and innovative products in 3,569 booths, a 15% increase from the previous year.

Attendance at the popular networking industry reception jumped as well, as nearly 4,500 attendees rocked to the beat of Flamingo Express and marveled at canvas paintings of Art Explosion at the Hilton Center.

As a direct result of significant increases in show attendance, number of exhibitors and show square footage each year since the show’s inception, the organization has had the distinguished honor of very recently receiving the following recognition from the trade show industry:

Trade Show Week – 4th Consecutive Year winner as one of the Fastest 50 Growing Trade Shows in North America
Trade Show Week – Ranked number 70 of the Top 200 trade shows in North America (in size)
Trade Show Executive – First time ranking in Gold 100 Trade Shows (September, 2008)
Trade Show Executive – Winner of the Fastest and Most Dynamic Growth of a Trade Show in America (September, 2008)
IAEE (International Association of Expositions & Events) – Winner of the Association’s 2008 award for Outstanding Achievement in Trade Show Sales & Marketing (October, 2008)
Larry Schur, President and Show Manager, awarded Show Manager of the Year award by his peers in the trade show industry (October, 2008)
