Helen Brett Enterprises’ Mid-south Jewelry and Accessories Fair in Memphis Celebrates 19th Year

Memphis, TN − The Memphis Mid-South Jewelry & Accessories Fair celebrates its 19th anniversary show at the Memphis Cook Convention Center April 25-27, 2009 while its promoter, Helen Brett Enterprises marks its 35th year of hosting one of the oldest and largest trade shows in downtown Memphis.

More than 300 wholesale exhibitors from around the country will display their latest market trends of jewelry, apparel, perfumes, artwork, home décor items and gifts at the upcoming three-day industry trade show in Memphis. Nearly 5,000 buyers are expected to attend the trade event with many retail business owners coming from surrounding states. Since 1974, Helen Brett Enterprises has hosted a total 107 gift and jewelry industry trade shows, attracting nearly one million visitors to downtown Memphis.

“Small businesses have always been the backbone of the American economy, and the Memphis Fair in April attracts thousands of small business owners who are learning how to keep their business afloat in today’s volatile economy,” said Robert Kolinek, president of Helen Brett Enterprises, the promoter and producer of the Mid-South Fair.

Qualified buyers can register for the show on site at no charge by presenting their Federal Tax ID number; a valid, government-issued identification card; and a copy of their current retails Sales Tax License, Business License or Occupational License, which shows the company is related to the jewelry and gift industry.

Show exhibitors offer retail buyers an opportunity to see and purchase with “cash and carry” and at wholesale prices the latest fashion items in jewelry and other gift industries. Retail buyers attending the Mid-South Jewelry & Accessories Fair come from small and large cities and towns all across the Midwest within a 200-mile radius. The April Fair brings thousands of visitors to downtown Memphis with many staying several nights in area hotels and eating in the city’s downtown restaurants.

Founded in 1946, Helen Brett’s mission was to produce and promote market driven trade shows and conferences throughout the United States. Her dream was to develop a relationship of trust and loyalty with her exhibitors and buyers. The legend is now being carried on today by this third generation, family business.

Helen Brett Enterprises hosts a total of four Jewelry and Gift Shows each year at the Memphis Cook Convention Center. The shows are held in February, April, August and November.
