Dogeared Presents: Breast Cancer – Find a Cure

Dogeared Jewels & Gifts, a trendsetting fashion brand that creates handcrafted jewels and gifts in Los Angeles, has long supported the efforts to find a cure for breast cancer. The company’s Breast Cancer, Find a Cure necklace is a best seller and raises money for the cause all year long.

“Our company mission is all about putting good energy into the world,” comments Marcia Maizel-Clarke, founder and designer. “We truly believe that by putting good energy, in this case a wish to cure breast cancer, toward a common goal, that goal will become a reality. We are all about individual power, and if the universe is hearing ‘cure breast cancer’ enough, it has to kick in, and do something about it!”

The necklaces are available with a wishbone and a ribbon charm, in both sterling silver and gold dipped. The charms are custom designed by Dogeared and hand-cast in the USA using recycled silver.

The Make A Wish style necklace features the charm on a pink silk thread, and is packaged on a card that reads:
Breast Cancer Find a Cure
Make a Wish…and put on this necklace. It will wear off when your wish is ready to come true … trust, hope, believe.

The necklace is also available on a sterling silver or a gold chain. The card for this style reads:
Breast Cancer Find a Cure
Each time you put on this necklace, make a wish to find a cure. Remind yourself of the beauty of feminine strength. The cure is out there — set your energy on it, and believe.

Both cards have this statement printed at the bottom:

Thank you for purchasing this special necklace. We donate a portion of the profits to recognized organizations that help make the lives of those affected by breast cancer a little easier, from the smallest to the grandest gestures of kindness.

The necklaces are priced from $26 to $54.

Net profits from the sale of these necklaces are currently donated to the Los Angeles Breast Cancer Alliance (LABCA), an incredible organization that gives directly to those affected by breast cancer by providing wigs, turbans, transportation, etc. LABCA is a grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping in the eradication of breast cancer through advocacy, education, and community involvement. Concerned survivors and supporters formed LABCA in 1992.

Dogeared makes all their jewels and gifts in their Southern California studios. Their ongoing commitment to using only USA-sourced materials and doing 100% of the production in the U.S. is non-negotiable and a core Dogeared value.
