Press Release
White Plains, NY — The National Stationery Show® (NSS), the industry's source for greeting cards, social stationery and related lifestyle products, welcomes the return of several of the industry's most celebrated and distinguished companies. Taking place May 16-19, at New York City's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, the NSS will showcase extensive product collections of companies including Papyrus, Recycled Paper Greetings (RPG), The Gift Wrap Company and the specialty manufacturing services of Universal Engraving and National Envelope and many more - setting the stage for a vibrant marketplace featuring new, up and coming companies and notable industry veterans.
"We are thrilled with the lineup of companies participating in the 2010 NSS and The Supply Side division, and anticipate additional commitments following the successful January markets and growing economic optimism," said Patti Stracher, show manager. "The presence on the exhibit floor of such prominent companies is a strident testimony to the National Stationery Show's position as the essential annual marketplace for social stationery manufacturers."
Returning companies include Acme Studios, American Stationery Collection, Astro Converters, Avanti, Cat Seto, Crane & Company, Checkerboard, David Hayward Design, Die Cuts With a View, Driscoll Design, Envelopments, Exclusive Bordering, Gartner Studios, Great Arrow Graphics, Graphique de France, Gruppo Cordenons Inc., Hannah Handmade Cards, Iota Stationery, Pictura, Quickutz, Midori Ribbon, Mountaincow Professional Invitation Software, Neenah Paper, Odd Balls, Notes & Queries, Papyrus, Penny Laine Papers, Recycled Paper Greetings, Roger La Borde, Seltzer LLC, Smock Letterpress, Stevie Streck Designs, The Gift Wrap Company, Waste Not Paper, Weddingstar Inc., Yafa Fine Writing Instruments and hundreds of others.
Several companies are on record with supporting statements about their participation, including:
"The upcoming NSS is the first show since Papyrus and Recycled Paper Greetings (RPG) joined forces, and we think there is no better industry event that will help us seize the enormous potential represented by the combination of these two special brands into one stand-alone alternative greeting card company," said Jude Rake, CEO of RPG/Papyrus. "Additionally, the NSS has always offered us an efficient forum for gathering with our existing artist partners to share our progress and learning, and for encouraging new fresh creative talent to join our team."
"In 2010 we celebrate our 15-year anniversary since our incorporation. Many NSS attendees are our customers, and without them, we would not have grown into the custom invitation industry leader that we are today," said Mark Smith, co-founder and president of Envelopments. "Envelopments has not missed a year at NSS since we started exhibiting in 1996. It's where we meet face-to-face with our customers and build relationships. This year we are excited to be introducing the largest expansion to our line yet at NSS."
"The stationery market is diverse and contains distinct segments which we are able to reach by attending the National Stationery Show," said Christian M. Fulghum, Vice President of MIDORI, Inc. "Our experience at the 2009 Show was so positive that we felt we had to capitalize on the momentum. We were overwhelmed by the response to our product and the positive atmosphere. The stationery market is key to our success, and we see the National Stationery Show as key to reaching that customer."
"The National Stationery Show is the single best place for us to meet and mingle with like-minded lovers of paper," said Ann Elliott of Waste Not Paper. "Even in a struggling economy, it is the most important show for us to cultivate new business and garner sales. The world of paper is a fairly small one, so we look forward to seeing industry friends and catching up with all of our favorite customers. We believe it's critical to be in front of our customer base as we start to see glimmers of economic recovery."
"The NSS is the perfect venue to get the attention of decision-makers and opinion leaders who will help our products flourish in the marketplace," said Jennifer Vance, Director of Marketing for QuicKutz, Inc. "We're looking forward to interacting with industry leaders at the NSS and debuting our new L Letterpress product line, as we know the NSS will bring great exposure to this new innovative line of products."
