New Companies Debut at All Four Home Textiles Market Week Venues

White Plains, NY — Each of the four venues comprising New York’s summer 2010 Home Textiles Market Week® will debut new home textile resources from around the world. In total, Home Textiles Market Week will present nearly 500 better bed, bath, linen and home products suppliers at the New York International Gift Fair® (NYIGF®) at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and Passenger Ship Terminal Piers 92 & 94, 230 Fifth Avenue and 7 West 34th Street.

“Established home textiles suppliers, leading brands and exciting newcomers will be featured at all four market venues this summer,” said Dorothy Belshaw, NYIGF director and GLM senior vice president. “Home Textiles Market Week will provide buyers with access to hundreds of new home fashions for the fourth quarter and holidays.”

At the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, NYIGF’s At Home featuring Home Textiles presents a concentration of some 200 mid-to-high end home textiles suppliers. Key new or returning exhibitors include Better Living (silk bedding), Brahms Mount (blankets and throws), Caro London (loungewear), Hamburg House (custom embroidery and fine linens), Home Source International (bedding), Sefte (bedding), Thai Silk Association (silk home accessories), and Urban Hues (bedding). Additional home textiles resources within At Home at Pier 94 are: Antonio Aguilar Home (pillows), Amity Home (top of bed), Millwork Group (decorative pillows) and Kevin O’Brien Studio (pillows, bedding).

At 230 Fifth Avenue, several leading home fashion suppliers will inaugurate new showrooms during the summer market. Highlights include: Scandia Home™ showing its new St. Petersburg comforter, as well as full lines of comforters, heirloom pillows, foundations and linens, in a new 1,325 square foot space in Suite 1906; Perfect Fit Industries, Inc., one of the nation’s largest home textiles suppliers, showcasing mattress pads, bed pillows, down comforters, featherbeds, warming products and decorative throws in a newly opened 5,300 square foot showroom in Suite 1305; and The Z2AStore.com offering an array of products and services in its new 5,820 square foot space in Suite 612.

New home textiles tenants at 7 W New York include: Bellino Fine Linens (bedroom, bathroom and table linens), Levtex (curtains and upholstery), Liberty Fashion Textiles (bath and bed textiles), Loretta Lee Limited (bedding) and Pacific Coast Home Furnishings Inc. (home décor). Additionally, several companies are in new or expanded showroom spaces, including Devgiri Exports / ABC Industries, InterDesign, Inc., Peking Handicraft, Inc., Phoenix Home Fashion Inc. and Saro Trading Company.

Home Textiles Market Week offers retailers the most comprehensive selection of home textiles products found at any U.S. market, and an unparalleled breadth and depth of bed and bath fashions, table linens, kitchen textiles, towels, decorative accessories, area rugs, window treatments and decorative fabrics. These facts were cited in an official Mayoral Proclamation designating the week of August 13-19, 2010, as “Home Textiles Market Week” in New York City.

Produced cooperatively by GLM, 230 Fifth Avenue, and 7 W New York, Home Textiles Market Week runs Friday, August 13, through Thursday, August 19, 2010, in locations throughout New York City. 7 W New York opens on Friday, August 13, and NYIGF and 230 Fifth Avenue both open on Saturday, August 14. All venues are open through Thursday, August 19.
