World Market Center Las Vegas’ Gift+Home Show Bright with New Exhibitors

Las Vegas, NV – First time-to-market exhibitors and the introduction of new dynamic destinations are among the many reasons gift retailers won’t want to miss Gift+Home at Las Vegas Market, taking place January 24-28, 2010.

Temporary exhibitors new to the Gift +Home show include: Ganz, Votivo, Greenleaf, Willowbrook Company, Collins Painting and Design, Ethel & Myrtle Jewelry, Heather Fields Home & Garden, International Ideas, Columbia Empire Farms and Garden Age Supply. Additionally, Melrose International, Yankee Candle, Couronne Company, Kennedy’s Country Collection, Melissa & Doug, Mercana Home Décor, Papaya Art and Plentiful Pantry will be among other leading exhibitors with showcases at Market.

Gift+Home is located on the 5th floor of Building C and will join the 1,200-plus exhibitors at the January 2011 Las Vegas Market, including hundreds of permanent showrooms featuring top gift and décor lines.

Also new to the Winter 2011 Gift + Home market will be special sections in Gift+Home devoted to Garden and Gourmet resources.

The Garden showcase occupies over 4,000 square feet of space – more than four times the space occupied by garden resources than at previous markets – and will include Unique Arts, Heather Fields Home & Garden, Atuto, International Ideas, Achla Designs, Green Glass Company, Garden Age Supply and Trellis & Trugs Garden Antiques. The Garden area, supported by trade partner Garden Centers of America, also will set the stage for a high-tea event each afternoon, Mon. – Wed., 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. To enhance the buying experience, a seating area amid preserved botanical topiaries will be featured to encourage buyers to linger, wander and shop.

Meanwhile, the Gourmet showcase occupies over 2,000 square feet of space, and will include leading companies such as Plentiful Pantry, Blue Cattle Trading Company, McSteven’s, Pepperlane Products, Sweet & Saucy, Pacific Northwest Gourmet/Lyfonda Farms, Columbia Empire Farms and Chukar Cherries. The Gourmet area also will feature daily cooking demonstrations, Mon.—Wed., 3 p.m. – 5 p.m., during which Chef Sterling Burpee, the executive chef/vice president of hospitality operations for the Culinary Training Academy, will incorporate exhibitor products into unique recipes directly on the tradeshow floor. Immediately following the cooking demonstrations, Master Sommelier Larry O’Brien will lead a tasting to pair wines with Chef Burpee’s culinary creations.

“We are pleased to welcome so many new temporary exhibitors and leaders in the gift arena to our second Gift +Home Show and are especially excited to introduce new segmented specialty sections. Growing the gift business at World Market Center reinforces our objective to deliver a compelling ‘total home’ marketplace in Las Vegas and offers vast crossover appeal to buyers and manufactures alike,” said World Market Center Las Vegas President and Chief Executive Officer Robert Maricich.

In addition to a dynamic roster of Gift+Home exhibitors and a variety of events and receptions, additional amenities that will be available to attendees include free Wi-Fi on campus, complimentary shuttle to/from host hotels, free parking in multi-level onsite parking garage, fully equipped Internet lounges and convenient café and food kiosks.
