Curious Chef® And What’s Cooking With Kids Inspire Young Cooks At Google Family Event

Oconomowoc, WI – Curious Chef®, the first complete kitchen utensil line designed specifically for children, recently inspired young chef and their parents at the Google Take-Your-Child-to-Work day (for kids five and under). Curious Chef® partnered with Michelle Stern, the Author of the Whole Family Cookbook (http://whatscookingwithkids.com/landing/the-whole-family-cookbook/) and Owner of What’s Cooking with Kids, which promotes healthy eating and teaches children basic cooking skills.

The event, which targeted over 1,000 Google employees and their children, was extremely well received. Stern tempted the taste buds of visitors to her booth as they created their own Granola Parfait. The recipe, which is featured in her book, includes a variety of healthy food choices including fresh fruits, Greek yogurt and granola.

The budding chefs were able to take part in the entire preparation process, which included cutting their own fruit using the Curious Chef® knives. According to Stern, the kids were excited to have tools designed specifically for them, and parents were thrilled that they had a safe cutting option, allowing their child to be more engaged in the kitchen.

Other thoughts overheard at the event include:

“I never knew there was such a safe knife for my toddler to use.”
”My girls love to cook with me, and now I know what tools are age appropriate.”
”I am so relieved to see these knives in action – and how much my son loves to use them!”

One of the key messages of the Curious Chef® line is the ability to give kids a great start for a lifetime of healthy eating by providing cooking tools appropriate for their developmental requirements.

According to Megan Manis, Director, Sales & Marketing for Curious Chef, this message meshes very nicely with that of What’s Cooking with Kids, making it an excellent partnership. “Curious Chef® was delighted to be a part of the Google event and collaborate with Michelle Stern. It is a very logical association, bringing together healthy cooking ideas for kids and families and the tools necessary for children to be a part of the cooking process,” she adds.
