Summer is in Bloom at Byers’ Choice

Bucks County, Pa. — The sun is shining, flowers are blooming and the weather is finally warm at the Byers’ Choice museum and Gift Emporium in Chalfont. To celebrate the summer season, the makers of the handcrafted Caroler® figurines will host their annual flower show, “Beautiful Blossoms,” and “Dog Days of Summer” event for Byers fans and community members.

On Saturday, June 4 and Sunday, June 5, from noon until 5 p.m., the Byers’ Choice grounds will grow into a “Beautiful Blossoms” exhibit with a flower competition for non-professional gardeners. Guests are invited to the show free of charge.

Prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories including bulbs, corms, tubers and rhizomes; perennials and biennials; flowering cut branches; and container-grown plants in the horticultural division.

Ribbons and prizes also will be awarded in an artistic division for floral designs that incorporate fruits and vegetables, arrangements that represent fond memories of the past, a greens-only display and creative arrangements using flowers to form hats.

Throughout the show, guests interested in viewing the Byers’ Choice formal English gardens are invited to a guided tour with Master Gardener Mary Ann Lobko between noon and 2 p.m. on Saturday. Guided tours are weather permitting and no reservations are required.

On Saturday, June 11, dog lovers and their best friends are invited to the Byers’ Choice grounds for “Dog Days of Summer,” an educational and active day for animal lovers. Rain or shine, the annual event will be held from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. with dog-focused games, activities, and raffle prizes.

Pet owners can learn tools to enrich their animals’ lives, and can receive tips on training. Additionally, the festival will host vendors specializing in pet care products and services, food vendors and craft vendors.

A portion of all proceeds will go to local animal shelters and rescue organizations. The event is free and no reservations are required.

“The Byers’ Choice museum and Emporium have a lot to offer guests throughout the month of June,” Joyce Byers, founder and designer of Byers’ Choice said. “We’re happy to welcome our local fans, gardening enthusiasts and dog lovers to our outdoor summer events.”

The Byers’ Choice museum, workshop, gardens and Gift Emporium, offering the widest variety of Byers’ Choice products anywhere, are open year-round for fans. For more information, please visit www.byerschoice.com.
