Island Deog Design Meets the Needs of the Interior Designer and Big Dogs

Island Dog Design introduces eco-friendly dog beds designed with the big dog in mind and the demands of the discriminating interior designer. With six design options in Coral, Sand Dollar, Moroccan, Finial, Ironwork and Ring, all on natural tone fabrics with complementary piping, these premium quality, beds come in a range of sizes, squares and rectangles, to fit and support dogs 50 pounds and over.

“It is difficult to find an attractive, big dog bed that doesn’t end up dominating the room,” said Nicole Webster, interior designer and co-founder of Island Dog Design, LLC. “We created a sophisticated look on durable fabrics for high-end consumers. In addition, the dog beds retain their shape and support a large dog’s frame.”

Island Dog Design dog beds are not only attractive, and a great addition to any room, but a healthy alternative for owners, their dogs and their homes. All products are made in the USA with premium quality, natural materials that are eco-friendly, plant-based materials. The insert is made of natural latex foam using sap from the rubber tree.

“The dog beds are chemical and pesticide free, and naturally anti-microbial and hypoallergenic,” adds Ileana van der Linde, co-founder with Webster of Island Dog Design. “As a result, the dog bed naturally repels dust, mites, mold and mildew. The insert is biodegradable, and won’t ever clog up a landfill.”

New to the New York International Gift Fair this year are crate pads, also made with bigger dogs in mind, available in two standard sizes in natural tones with geometric patterns.

The unique patterns created by Island Dog Design are in such high demand, they are now available as custom wall hangings and on hand-printed T-shirts for people.

Founded in 2009, Island Dog Design, LLC is based in New York City and Rhode Island.
