Hape Launches Summer 2012 Toy Collection

Hape, a leader in designing and manufacturing high quality baby and children’s toys made from sustainable materials, announced today its new 2012 summer toy collection, which is set to hit retail stores beginning in late July. The collection ─ which includes a variety of adorable toys for endless hours of playing ─ includes the new Galloping Zebra Cart (MSRP $35), Rock-a-bye Cradle ($30), Shopping Cart ($35) and Pancakes ($24.99), will also be available for purchase through Hape’s online store. True to Hape’s philosophy and commitment to manufacturing high quality, eco- friendly toys, the new collection is made of natural materials and water-based paints, ensuring that parents can continue to trust that every Hape toy is an investment kids will love.

“We are very excited to bring this new collection to market just in time as consumers are making back to school purchases, while identifying early must-have toys for the holidays,” said David Quercia, vice president of Hape.

“At Hape, we continue to bring parents, grandparents and educators a variety of fun, eco-friendly, and educational toys that bring endless smiles to children’s’ faces. Each product is designed to enhance a child’s development skills,” added Quercia.

Hape’s new summer collection comes on the heels of the company’s newest arrivals from the Bamboo Collection, currently available in stores worldwide and online. The E-chopper, E-drifter and Super Moose have already garnered many fans across the globe since its debut earlier this year. Toys from the Bamboo collection are affordable, starting as low as $4.95

From its humble beginnings as an educational toy supplier to kindergartens in Germany, Hape, now in its 26th year in business, continues to reimagine its wooden and bamboo toys with global sensibility.
