Julie Browning Bova to Launch More than a Dozen Designs at High Point

Julie Browning Bova, noted interior, furniture and product designer, will return to the High Point Market, for the fifth consecutive year, to unveil her Spring 2013 Collection. The debut is comprised of 13 entirely new furniture designs, which features Bova’s signature equestrian-inspired theme flowing elegantly throughout. Adding warmth to this collection is the layering of fabric, finishes and details. The overall result is a launch combining luxury, comfort, simplicity, and purpose. “My collection is classic, modern, and elegant. It is inspired by treasures that I have acquired over time,” says Bova. Julie Browning Bova’s 2013 Spring Collection, along with other popular Julie Browning Bova Home Collection pieces, will be shown in Stanford Furniture’s High Point showroom, 435 North Wrenn Street, April 19-25, 2013.

“I really focused on creating a cohesive collection that exudes warmth and comfort. This season I’ve used a bold emerald green and brown damask pattern that incorporates the romanticism we are seeing in the industry,” said Bova. The damask pattern is paired with Bova’s new All Along Chair, a modern, clean French-style frame influenced and rescaled for today’s current home.

The Spring 2013 Collection also boasts modern undertones in its design aesthetic, giving it a unique blend and depth that reinterprets the classic elements of the traditional home.

Introductions for the spring 2013 High Point Market include: the Stable Console Table that provides a barn style-like appearance with its weathered finish and farmhouse characteristics; the Admiral Bookcase offering narrow depth and expansive paint options; and the Pinebluff Coffee Table which presents a new interpretation of the Venice Occasional Tables.

“The thing I love about the current designs is that they appeal to various lifestyles. It doesn’t matter if you’re designing a living room, lake home, study or kitchen; we have something for every space and taste,” noted Bova.

Following the success of last April’s introduction of the Morgan Sofa, is the tufted-leather Edward Chair, a revolutionized version of a classic club chair, and the Faith Ottoman, donned in charmingly feminine, soft, dressmaker slipcover. The new pieces blend nicely with Bova’s entire collection.

“We recently welcomed Andrew Luck to the Indianapolis Colts. As a big Colts fan, I couldn’t resist naming the new sofa the Lucky Sofa. Lucky is also the name of the barn where my daughter currently hangs her saddle,” commented Bova.

The Lucky Sofa is covered in a soft, mocha chenille and features Stanford’s signature construction. “I added the bench cushion, pillows and extra seat depth for ultra luxurious experience,” noted Bova.

New accent pieces have also been added to the collection. The Eldon Mirror will be displayed in Julie Browning Bova’s feature vignette at High Point. The mirror showcases the color of the season — green!

Rounding out the mirror introductions are the Benjamin Mirror, which delivers a unique touch to the collection with its organic shape and elegant presence; and the Gallop Mirror that perfectly in any space due to its simplistic style, luxe woods and Bova’s iconic horse bit detailing.

As part of the Spring 2013 Collection launch, Bova will be on hand in the Stanford showroom, to meet and greet with show attendees beginning Friday, April 19.
