Dirtball Pioneers 100% American-Made and Recycled Apparel for Men

Each and every one of Dirtball’s American-made apparel products are created utilizing only recycled materials and by producing their products in the United States, they employ American workers while reducing carbon emissions due to shorter shipping distances. The apparel brand has an entire selection of recycled cotton/polyester U.S. made gear for men including jeans, t-shirts, polos, shorts, hats, hooded sweatshirts, jackets and socks.

Recycling pre-consumer cotton, as Dirtball does, helps keep five billion pounds of waste from going into U.S. landfills and it doesn’t take the manual labor or land use that is required for conventionally grown cotton. For every 100,000 t-shirts Dirtball produces, they are saving approximately 916,000 gallons of fresh water. If Dirtball can save three billion plastic bottles from the landfills, it will be equivalent to saving over half a million barrels of oil, and eliminating 400,000 tons of harmful air emissions which contribute to acid rain, global warming and smog.

Dirtball’s “The Dirt Short” is made out of 25 16oz. plastic bottles, which have been repurposed to create a high- quality polyester fabric. The eco-friendly shorts are not only recycled, but recyclable as well. Once a pair is worn out, it can be returned to Dirtball where it will be sent back to their headquarters to be re-spun back into polyester fiber. To thank the customer for their environmental friendliness, Dirtball sends the customer a coupon for 20% off a future online purchase; it practically pays to save the environment.

“When I founded Dirtball, I wasn’t interested in creating just a company that sells any old t-shirts and shorts for men,” says Joe Fox, Founder and President of Dirtball. “I was interested in starting a movement, and my team and I have done just that; we’re not only producing eco-friendly apparel for active lifestyles, we’re getting the community involved as well in order to promote conservation.”

Dirtball makes it a priority to be involved in the community by hosting sporting events geared toward their target audience. The company’s next event is called “Dirtballs’ Pedal 2 The People Tour Fueled by Monster Energy” and their mission of this event is to produce a successful, well-organized and fun regional competition with three different stops for mountain bikers and all involved. With a $10,000 purse, it will be the richest series on the East Coast this Fall. The company is working together with event sponsors in the spirit of promoting conservation and mountain biking in a positive light, and also putting on an awesome display of regional talent.

Other upcoming events hosted by Dirtball include “Dirtball’s 2pc & Biscuit Tour fueled by Monster Energy” for skateboarders and “Dirtball’s Trans Jam BMX Contest Series fueled by Monster Energy” for BMX bikers.
