Dallas Trade Mart Renovations Underway for Category Growth

Dallas Market Center today announced renovations are underway in two neighborhoods of the Trade Mart to meet the needs of the growing luxury gift, lifestyle design, and gourmet housewares categories in Dallas. The initial phase includes an overhaul and modernization of two sections of the Trade Mart 2nd floor to cater to manufacturers’ permanent space needs as well as an expo area to service buying groups and gourmet vendor showcase events.

“The Trade Mart renovations are part of a strategic plan to further establish Dallas as a leader in fine gifts and lifestyle brands,” said Bill Winsor, president and CEO, Dallas Market Center. “We launched our dedicated Total Housewares & Gourmet Market in January 2013 and have seen a surge across gourmet products and luxury gifts via our professional sales agencies and temporaries. This first phase will showcase smaller showrooms for vendors who want corporate space in addition to their independent sales talent or as part of a direct sales force.”

New exhibitors will join existing brands such as Vagabond House, Mottahedeh, Vietri, Roost, Match, Jan Barboglio, Devine Corporation Fine Lines, Rosenthal Group, Reed & Barton, Towle, Lifetime Brands, Riedel, Nambe, Arte Italica, and Rigaud.

The first tenant debuting in the Housewares neighborhood anchored by HTI (Housewares Training & Information Group) is Leland Associates, Inc. (Trade Mart 2517) relocating from the Gourmet Market and doubling its space. Leland will open at this summer’s show and feature B.I.A. Cordon Bleu, Breville and Scanpan. The remainder of the new showrooms are scheduled to debut at the Dallas Total Housewares & Gourmet Market, January 14 – 20, 2015.
