LOUIE Exhibit to Showcase Winners and Finalists of the GCA’S 26th Annual LOUIE Awards

The finalists and winning cards of the Greeting Card Association’s 26th Annual LOUIE Awards will be showcased at a special LOUIE Exhibit in the Crystal Palace Lobby of the Javits Center in NYC during the National Stationery Show/signature mix™ marketplace, taking place May 18-21.

For the fourth consecutive year, GCA Associate Member Universal Presentation Concepts (UPC) has generously designed and produced a fabulous display showcasing the artistry and creativity of the GCA’s prestigious LOUIE Awards competition. This year’s winners will be revealed at the LOUIE gala on Sunday night, May 18, at Espace. The deadline for LOUIE tickets has been extended to this Friday, May 9; to purchase tickets, go to www.greetingcard.org.

An exciting new extension of the LOUIE Exhibit this year is the GCA Lounge, which will be located adjacent to the LOUIE Exhibit and be available to all GCA members and prospective members. This special area, created and sponsored by UPC, is a great place to sit and network while at the show. And, in keeping with this year’s LOUIE theme, “Eye Candy: The Best Cards of the Year,” there will be candy there.

Also located at the LOUIE Exhibit will be a GCA information desk staffed by GCA members who can answer questions about the many benefits of joining the Association and share why they value their GCA membership. For more information on the GCA and its many activities at the upcoming National Stationery Show, please visit www.greetingcard.org.

Special thanks also go to the 26th Annual LOUIE Award sponsors: Platinum Sponsors – American Greetings; Hallmark. Gold Sponsors – Designer Greetings, Inc.; Infinity Foils, Inc.; Jast Company; National Stationery Show/Emerald Expositions; Universal Engraving, Inc. Silver Sponsors – Avanti Press, Inc.; Neenah Paper. Category Champions – Bobst North America, Inc. The GCA also extends its gratitude to Universal Presentation Concepts for the generous contribution of the outstanding LOUIE Exhibit at the National Stationery Show/signature mix™ marketplace.

About the LOUIE Awards

Launched by the Greeting Card Association in 1988, the prestigious LOUIE Awards recognize the most outstanding greeting cards, invitations, and announcements marketed in the U.S. during the previous calendar year. Named after Louis Prang – the German-born Boston lithographer credited with the birth of the U.S. Christmas card in the 1870s – the competition is open to all domestic and foreign publishers of greeting cards, invitations, and/or announcements, and attracts hundreds of entries annually. Additional information is available at www.greetingcard.org.
