Dynasty Gallery to Debut New Glass Vases, Paperweights at Atlanta Market

Dynasty Gallery, a leading manufacturer of art glass gifts, souvenirs and home accessories, will debut its new Spira Collection this summer, starting with the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, July 8-15.

The new Spira Collection reflects the high level of quality found in all Dynasty Gallery works. Lane explained that pieces in this collection take an inordinate amount of time and skill to produce.

First, the “cane” is made; this type of glass design is called canework. These vertical sticks are visible in the vases and paperweights. Each color is separated into long strands of twisted glass. “What makes this so appealing from an artistic standpoint,” said Lane, “is there are an infinite number of patterns we can create. By using the cane as an embellishment, we are able to create some truly vibrant colorways. Our glassblowers use their mastery of the technique to combine the cane into any shape.”

Lane said that while each piece is unique because of handcrafting, there still are advantages to being a large-scale manufacturer. “Since our production is at a higher capacity and volume level, all our colored glass is in molten form, ready to use. It is easy to gather onto each item, and always on standby.”

In addition to producing top-quality products at affordable prices, Dynasty Gallery also is committed to protecting the environment. “Each piece we produce is made with 25 percent recycled glass. We use electric furnaces, which minimize carbon dioxide output. Only reclaimed water is used during the polishing process, and our packaging is made from 100 percent post-consumer materials. For us, sustainability also includes social responsibility.
