Precious Moments Re-Introduces Favorite Birthday Train in Bisque

Back by popular demand! One of the most beloved series in the Precious Moments Collection is the circus-themed Birthday Train, with its whimsical animals on train cars that celebrates birthdays from newborn to 16. Now, Precious Moments, Inc. announces that this collector and gift-giver favorite is being reintroduced in its original format – porcelain bisque — and will be available at retailers later this year.

First introduced in 1985, the Precious Moments Birthday Train is comprised of individual ‘circus rail cars,’ each holding a finely sculpted and hand painted bisque figure. The reintroduction will feature all of the original pieces, with their uplifting messages that often incorporate the age being celebrated. The age is always shown somewhere on the piece, as well.

Among the teardrop-eyed characters portrayed is an adorable diapered bear cub for baby, with the inspiring message, May Your Birthday Be Warm. Another is a crown-topped lion for the fifth birthday, and the message, This Day Is Something To Roar About.

At the front of the circus train is the same Precious Moments clown, who holds the connection to the first car. Each subsequent piece has a connector that will eventually take the child to age 16. Originally, the Birthday Train was released in segments; the reintroduction will include the full complement of rail cars in a single release.
