26th Annual ARTS Awards Winners Announced

ART and Dallas Market Center, co-founder and producer of the ARTS Awards, today announced the winners of the 26th annual ARTS Awards during a gala event held Friday, Jan. 16 at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas. The ARTS Awards is the premier international awards program for the home industry honoring designers, manufacturers, retailers and sales representatives and is held each January during the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market.

Internationally recognized star Donny Osmond served as the master of ceremonies for the night and the ARTS Awards presenter slate was composed of more than 15 industry stars including Mad Men actor Bryan Batt, along with designers, retailers and industry pioneers.

“Congratulations to all the winners of the 26th annual ARTS Awards,” said Dallas Market Center President and CEO Bill Winsor. “It’s an honor to celebrate your achievements in retail, manufacturing, design and representation, and we look forward to your continued success in the industry.”

This year’s Academy of Achievement Award was presented to Mac Hoak of Mecox. Under the guidance and vision of Hoak, Mecox has energized the home industry with its unique selection of home and garden furnishings unmatched in quality, texture and form, and dedication to providing the tools necessary to achieving an overall balance between the indoor and outdoor living environment.

Home and Garden Trading Company of McKinney, Texas, an emerging resource for home furnishings and interior design, received the Rising Star Award, which recognizes innovation and modern excellence demonstrated by a home industry company that has been in business less than three years, selected by a panel of industry peers.

The 26th annual ARTS Awards are sponsored by enLIGHTenment, Gifts & Decorative Accessories, Giftware News, HFN, Home Accents Today, Home Fashion Forecast, Home & Textiles Today, Residential Lighting and the Sustainable Furnishings Council.
