Hong Kong International Stationery Fair set for January

The 16th edition of the Hong Kong International Stationery Fair will be held Jan. 11-14, 2016 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Recognized as one of the most effective trading platforms in Asia by industry players for quality products and innovations stretching from the abundant categories of kids & school items, DIY supplies, gift stationery, paper & printing products to writing instruments and office supplies, the event is expecting more than 230 exhibitors from different countries and regions.

Organized by the two prestigious trade fair organizers — Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) — the four-day event has attracted a wide spectrum of exhibitors from various countries and regions in the Asian area including the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, and as far reaching as France, Greece and the United States, and with Korea, Taiwan and Thailand in the form of group pavilions.

Assisting its members to get a piece of the pie is the Thai Stationeries and Office Supplies Association, which is organizing the Thailand pavilion at the 2016 show.

“Asia Pacific is definitely the market with the most potential for our Thai members, as reflected in the current remarkable GDP growth in various countries across the region,” explained the President, Kanya Panya-Arj-Ong. “The Hong Kong International Stationery Fair plays an important role to the stationery manufacturers and suppliers in Thailand, because this is one of the most international platforms within the industry. Our members received very positive results in 2015 and this is why we are joining the show again. Visitors do not only come from different parts of the world, but they are also relevant and like our Thai products. Besides, the show date is a perfect period for our members to showcase their innovative products to international visitors.”

The show is seen as a key facilitator for business success when it continues to grow its footprint in the region.

Hong Kong-based Uni-Pac International Ltd will stage the show again. The company will display its new lighted lipstick highlighters as well as stylishly designed novelty stationery and pencil cases at the show. Katy Li, the company’s Sales Manager, said: “We intend to build a strong global business network in the Asia Pacific market. We aim to make use of the show to acquire more buyers and to cement broader business links to move the company forward.”

The Hong Kong International Stationery Fair will be held concurrently with the HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair, the HKTDC Hong Kong Baby Products Fair and the HKTDC Hong Kong International Licensing Show.
