Regent Holding adds ILLUME to portfolio

Regent Holding Company — the parent company of Creative Co-Op and Bloomingville — announced on April 18 the acquisition of ILLUME, a leading home fragrance, lifestyle and beauty brand.

Headquartered in Bloomington, Minnesota, ILLUME is a global brand that offers trend-forward home fragrance and personal care products that can be found in over 7,000 doors nationwide and through the company’s online retail store. Retail customers include Anthropologie, West Elm and Target. ILLUME candles and personal care products are consistently featured as “must have” items in O Magazine, InStyle, and other influential publications. Accolades include HOW Design packaging awards, NY NOW awards and Target’s prestigious Vendor of the Year award. Internationally, ILLUME can be found in 44 countries, including the United Kingdom, Japan and the United Arab Emirates.

As a designer and wholesaler of quality home décor, Regent Holding Company has an extensive global presence through its two brands, Creative Co-Op and Bloomingville. Between the two companies, Regent has multiple distribution channels in the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and supplies more than 30,000 retail doors globally. In addition, through its sourcing company, York Asia, Regent is able to leverage its scale to maximize supply chain efficiencies.  With its portfolio of complementary products, distribution centers on three separate continents and significant sourcing infrastructure, Regent is able to maximize the potential of great products and designs — reaching consumers throughout the world.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Illume,” said Eugene Wang, CEO of Regent. “Illume’s unique combination of design expertise along with top-notch manufacturing capabilities aligns perfectly with Regent’s strategic objective of maximizing product selling opportunity through leveraging great design with broad sales distribution and efficient sourcing. We look forward to working with the talented Illume management team to capitalize on significant cross-selling opportunities to help Illume continue on its impressive growth trajectory.”

“We’ve always admired both Bloomingville and Creative Co-Op as category leaders in both design and quality,” said Liz Barrere, president and CEO of ILLUME. “We can’t wait to join forces with these creative minds to work together on creating new products, finding new markets and forging new partnerships. All of our companies have a strong perspective on product, trend and design, and it will be exciting to get us all together to create. We’re forming a super group.”

Barrere will continue in her role as president and CEO. ILLUME top leadership and employee force will remain with the company. Illume’s factory in Bloomington, Minnesota will also continue to produce products for the combined company.
