Friday opening, promotional alliances with new Seattle Mart, Urban Craft uprising headline Summer 2016 Seattle Gift Market

UrbanExpo

Moving to a Friday-Monday date pattern this summer, the August 19-22, 2016 Seattle Gift Show continues to build upon its reputation as a destination resource for retailers seeking fresh, new designs custom-tailored to their Pacific Northwest customer base.  Promotional alliances with the new Seattle Mart permanent showroom building (formerly the Pacific Market Center) and Seattle’s indie craft show, Urban Craft Uprising pavilion, come together with a show floor filled with artisan crafts, regional specialties and top name brands to offer retailers everything they need, so close to home.

“We’re always searching for emerging companies, artisans, product categories and new partnerships that keep the Seattle Gift Show’s offerings fresh, exciting, and most important, integral to the future growth and success of our Pacific Northwest retailers, ” said Lisa Glosson, group show director, Urban Expositions. “We’re excited to be joining forces with the new permanent showroom building to continue our unified ‘Seattle Market Week’ event. And, the overwhelmingly positive response we received from participating artisans and buyers alike to the Urban Craft Uprising Pavilion debut in January points to an even stronger showing this summer.”

Summer show highlights include:

Urban Craft Uprising Pavilion This August, retailers will find even more handcrafted, artisan desiunnamed-1gns than ever before with the return of the Urban Craft Uprising Pavilion.  Showcasing the work of 30+ artisans from Seattle’s largest indie craft show, the pavilion, first featured at the Winter 2016 edition, returns this summer to join the show’s Makers’ Market sector offering a wide range of handcrafted goods for the retailers to explore.

Co-hosting Seattle Market Week with Seattle Mart (formerly Pacific Market Center) The Seattle Gift Show will come together with the permanent showrooms of the new Seattle Mart   to present Seattle Market Week.  Formerly the Pacific Market Center, the Seattle Mart will host its grand opening at its new location — 200 SW Michigan Street — from August 17-22, 2016.  The building now houses the Northwest’s premier permanent showrooms representing a wide range of product lines from locally manufactured to national brands.  These offerings, along with the many lines and new resources at the Seattle Gift Show, give the region’s retailers a comprehensive, convenient and cost-effective shopping experience. What’s more, one badge gives buyers access to both venues and complimentary shuttle service will also be provided.

Product Preview area Many exhibitors will showcase their newest, trend-setting products in the special Product Preview Area, allowing buyers to preview the “must have” items.  Green/eco-friendly products will also be highlighted here.

ExpressPass Registration including special parking rebate Buyers are encouraged to take advantage of the show’s easy, online ExpressPass registration.  Simply log on to www.seattlegiftshow.com, complete the application and receive an ExpressPass via email to bring to the show, scan with onsite readers and quickly print out the admission badge. As an added bonus, buyers who pre-register and bring their ExpressPass along with their parking receipt to the parking rebate desk inside the exhibit hall at the Washington State Convention Center can receive a parking rebate up to $6.
