Introducing PetCakes by Well Made Toy

Maspeth, NY – Building on more than 40 years as a leader in the plush category, Well Made™ Toy Manufacturing Corporation, introduces PetCakes™, a new collectible plush pet line that will be a sweet treat for children. As one of the largest domestic stuffing facilities in the United States, Well Made Toy Manufacturing Corporation has a long history of producing quality plush toys. PetCakes combines the best of the Company’s plush heritage with a contemporary, colorful cupcake concept. Each PetCakes animal features a “frosting” hat, comes nestled down in its own cupcake wrapper and has its own backstory. Children will love what looks like a colorful cupcake but actually has the surprise of a pet inside!

The PetCakes brand debuts with the first in its collectible series to appear on store shelves, featuring four signature puppies. “Puppies were the natural animal choice to start the series as they embody the cute and huggable qualities of PetCakes that children, and retailers, can’t pass up,” said Fred Catapano, president of Well Made Toy Manufacturing Corporation.

Series 1 will soon be available in specialty toy and gift stores. More than six additional generations of PetCakes will being debuting in 2011 featuring new puppies, kittens, bears, rabbits, raccoons and other furry friends.

PetCakes Series 1 features these cozy collectibles, for ages 3 and up:

Randy Candy™ is a lovable mutt, scampering around playfully and taking long naps in his cupcake wrapper. Randy Candy is topped with tasty frosting and a cherry.

Blueberry Buddy™ is a Shar Pei who acts tough for his size but is a loving push over who’s as sweet as the blueberry frosting on his head. When sleepy, Blueberry Buddy cozies up in his own cupcake wrapper.

Twinkle Sprinkles™ is a playful, loving, and mischievous Beagle, whose colorful pink sprinkled frosting top looks good enough to eat! Twinkle Sprinkles likes to yelp when happy and sleep in her cupcake wrapper where her nose stays nice and toasty.

Coco-Coconut™ is a fluffy poodle and as lovingly sweet as a frosted cupcake. Cuddle Coco-Coconut and keep her warm in her cupcake wrapper.

PetCakes are marketed in both full color shelf displays and attractive retail gift boxes. The PDQ Master Carton comes with 12 pieces, weighs six pounds and has a length/depth of 12.857″ x Width of 17.125″ x Height of 6.375″. The individual Box Bulk Master Carton comes with 12 individual boxes, weighs seven pounds and its Length/Depth is 13.75″ x Width of 13.25″ x Height of 11.0″.
