Tipp Florist Shop Blooms into Spring
Since 1940, the spirit of spring has blossomed with the products from Tipp Florist and their presence through the city and the world is far from withering.
The shops inventory supplies the flowers needed for any occasion and the design team will assemble a bouquet to fit any order.
Floral designer June Hines has been at Tipp Florist for 25 years and still loves her work. The flower industry is deeply rooted in her heart as her mother worked at Springhill for many years.
“I love flowers and trying to make people happy,” Hines said.
For times of celebration or sorrow the staff is well equipped to provide a perfect arrangement to fit the situation. And can also assist companies in planning the floral decor for parties and events.
While most of the plants and flowers are now shipped in rather than grown at the shops location, there are all types of annuals, planters, roses, high style arrangements and other decorative items available. “We also carry fresh cut flowers which Springhill doesn’t,” Hines said.
Tipp Florist offers a delivery service and has accumulated customers from all over the world, including Canada and Ireland.
Now semi retired, Hines only works three days a week but still has a full time love for flowers. Recently having moved in to a new house she looks forward to spending the summer creating a flower garden and offers some words of advice to have a flower come to full bloom. “You need to give it tender loving care and some fertilizer.”
