Plum Added to Chalkboard China’s Colors Collection

Just in time for Easter and the spring season of blooms and sports, Chalkboard China introduces to its COLORS Collection one of 2012’s most popular design and decor colors, a rich, royal purple rightfully named “Plum”.

Plum falls in line flawlessly with the eight other colors making up Chalkboard China’s COLORS Collection launched back in January of 2011. While it’s a feminine touch perfect for home decor, hostess gifts, and party favors, the purple ensures sports enthusiasts won’t be left out. Baltimore Ravens and L.A. Lakers fans as well as TCU, LSU, Northwestern, and Kansas State students, faculty and alumni can rejoice in Plum being added to the sought-after collection.

“Plum is the twin sister of Pantone’s Spring color pick, Belflower. She is proud to be a trend for fashion and home as we all look to her for renewed energy, optimism and the promise of brighter days,” said Chalkboard China’s Designer, Candace Neff Randolph, about Plum. “She is ready for Mardi Gras and I want you to know that she is by far the most cheerful cheerleader that I know,” Randolph said.

Other industry experts agree that there are many beautiful ways to use purple this year when it comes to home decor and fashion. The Stylelist blog, The Huffington Post’s trendy eye on fashion, beauty, and more, said “we’re loving Bellflower — a blend of lush lavender and violet hues.” “This dynamic color can transform a space in surprising ways,” adds Elle Decor design writer, Laura Fenton. Christine Pittel from House Beautiful expressed that purple is “royal. It’s papal. It’s eccentric. It’s feminine,” and stated, “the color purple is looking very good right now,” as we will be seeing it often in the industry in 2012.

Chalkboard China has recently been buzzing with appearances on Good Morning America, The View, Brides Magazine, and Real Simple Magazine. Chalkboard China was also proudly featured on sneakpeeq, OpenSky, Joss&Main, and Fab.com. Plum will only add to the excitement of what’s been going on at Chalkboard China.

About the COLORS Collection:
In a spread parallel to the rainbow, eight gorgeous, vibrant colors make up Chalkboard China’s COLORS Collection. The sweet Honeysuckle, Pantone’s 2011 Color of the Year, was the inspiration to the launch of the COLORS line, which then sparked seven more colors added to its side: Fern, a leafy green, Mandarin, a happy orange, Seaside, a tranquil turquoise, Cranberry, a rally red, Evergreen, a giving green, Gingerbread, a great gold, Rich Cocoa, a boyish brown, and now Plum, a peppy purple, make up the collection. More colors plan to be added to the COLORS Collection in 2012.
