Pets of the Homeless Benefit from Saving Spot Purchases

Through September 14, 2013, Poochie-Pets of Simsbury, CT will be matching all purchases from the company’s Saving Spot line by providing free dog collars to Pets of the Homeless based in Carson City, NV. Since the buy one, give one program’s inception in 2012, Poochie-Pets has donated over 1,000 new collars to nonprofit organizations committed to the welfare of dogs.

“Saving Spot was designed as way for both the company and our customers to give back to the community.” Cheryl Pedersen, owner of Poochie-Pets, said. “It is the decision of each organization whether to sell the collars they receive to raise money or give the collar to someone rescuing a dog. Either way, the free collars are meant to help the organization financially.”

Nonprofit dog organizations, rescues, and shelters that would like to be considered for the Saving Spot program should contact Poochie-Pets by email at admin@poochiepets.net. There is no charge to participate and information about the program, as well as Saving Spot products, can be found on Poochie-Pets’ website at www.poochie-pets.net. Saving Spot products are also available wherever dog products are sold.
