Dallas Market Center to host trio of events in late June

Dallas Market Center will offer more than 200,000 square feet of the most dynamic and one-of-a-kind product only available during its Total Home & Gift Market, June 24-30, 2015. During the show, the Marketplace will host three major groups whose mission is to create unique product for retailers. The groups include the American Made Show, International Folk Art Market | Collection and the Round Top Experience.

On the World Trade Center 13th floor, Dallas Market Center will welcome artists from the American Made Show, a wholesale show for designer products handcrafted solely in the U.S. and Canada. Buyers can browse unique jewelry, home décor, fine gifts, fashion accessories, home and garden products, furniture, gourmet items, paper goods and sustainably manufactured merchandise created by studio artists, with every piece of material manufactured in North America. The partnership will meet buyer demand for quality, American-made products nurtured by the nationwide consumer support of locally and responsibly produced items.

In the World Trade Center atrium, a separate group of artisans from nearly 20 countries will showcase handmade artworks reflective of their traditional cultures during the International Folk Art Market | Collection. Artists will showcase embroidered textiles, basketry, ceramics, beaded jewelry, painted wood objects, tie-dye scarves, hand-woven silks and clothing native to their homelands. Countries represented include Colombia, Indonesia, Italy, Peru, Uganda and more. The cultural exchange allows the opportunity for retailers to purchase products that help build and sustain local communities around the world, and provides year-round income by fulfilling wholesale orders long after the conclusion of Market. This is the fifth year the Collection has been presented during summer Market before showcasing in Santa Fe.

In Market Hall, Dallas Market Center continues to showcase the largest vintage collection of any market this summer featuring antiques, painted and hand-carved furniture, weathered décor, tableware, textiles, fashion accessories, gifts and more one-of-a-kind product. The origin of this collection is the charming town of Round Top, which hosts one of the world’s largest antique and vintage fairs twice a year. Since 2010, the marketplace has produced “Round Top in Dallas” with more than 100 vintage wholesalers every January and June.

Founded in 1957, Dallas Market Center is the world’s most complete wholesale marketplace. Within its marketplace of more than five million square feet, retailers from around the globe source products ranging from home furnishings, gifts, decorative accessories and lighting to textiles, fashion accessories and men’s, western, women’s and children’s apparel. The Dallas Market Center website is available at dallasmarketcenter.com.
