Shades of Spring 2015: Custard Yellow By Sarah Schwartz

From our Shades of Spring 2015, here’s a look at…

Custard Yellow

This clean shade evokes the sun and warmer weather, but retains a pared-down, refined quality that broadens its appeal and expands its flexibility. It is affable and alluring, but never over-the-top. Soft and mellow, this frothy tone subtly changes its mood depending on what it’s presented with. Try it merchandised alongside oranges and earth tones for a Southwestern vibe — or combined with rich blues for sheer drama. Paired with pure white, the effect is refreshing and clean. Then, juxtapose it with woodsy tones and textures once the cooler months arrive.
