Unalloyed Trends

In the same way that a pop of color updates the decor of a room, introducing a mix of metals updates any look. Essentially neutrals, various metals mix well in jewelry, accessories, home decor and tabletop fashions. What other trends are worth watching? We explore five in our forecast.

Tribal Beats

Some gift industry trends are inspired by the fashion world and some evolve through an interior design path. Native American patterns are ever relevant in southwestern home decor, but this year the designs are trending mainstream and showing up in all gift categories going forward into 2013. Expect the trend to subside in the summer and ready itself for a new incarnation a few years down the road.
