Arts, Crafts Shop Benefits Community
Colorado Springs, CO – An all handmade arts and crafts shop, bursting with creativity and a rustic theme, opened May 17 in the Mini-Mall.
The Tumbleweeds artisan gift shop showcases the talent flowing from the military community through beaded jewelry, 4th Infantry Division-stamped baby bibs and camouflaged purses displayed on wooden tables, desks and pallets.
“We are trying to bring arts and crafts back on post,” said Maj. Gen. Joseph Anderson, commanding general, 4th Inf. Div. and Fort Carson. “It’s a good thing for Families and Soldiers … and it’s a great way to learn and grow.”
Tumbleweeds offers artists a place to promote their skills.
