Small Businesses Push Saturday as Shop Local Day
The Thanksgiving week shopping marathon will stretch into the weekend with the fourth “Small Business Saturday.”
The event, started in 2010 by credit card giant American Express, promotes patronage of small retailers.
American Express will extend a $10 credit to cardholders who shop at participating retailers. In earlier years, the promotion’s value had been $25.
