Fertile, IA – JoAnn Kaasa blends creativity and practicality in the hand-crafted items available in her store Humble Beginnings, just northeast of Fertile on Iowa Highway 9.
“Over here we have the mailbox covers,” Kaasa said as she walked to a mailbox covered in winter and Christmas decorations.
Kaasa attaches bulbs, pine cones and other items to a clothesline wire to create a decoration that can be wrapped over a rural or city residential mailbox.
