West Des Moines Stationery Store Offers Personal Touch
West Des Moines, IA – Letter Perfect, the stationery boutique in Clocktower Square in West Des Moines, has found a way to keep the art of letter writing alive. The shop’s array of note cards, Crane stationery and greeting cards still have a place in this world of social media, said shop owner Toni Urban.
“People still write letters, especially thank-you notes,” said Urban, who has owned the store since 1988. She has recognized that lightning-fast texts, emails and Instagram posts are replacing pen and paper. To that end, she expanded her shop several years ago from a focus on stationery and wedding invitations and added children’s clothing and more gifts.
Letter Perfect has survived in Clocktower Square, along with a handful of other longtime tenants like Waterfront Seafood Market, Ohana’s Steakhouse, Herman’s Fine Jewelry, T.J. Maxx, Merle Norman and others, despite the aging shopping center’s need of a upgrade.
