Magnet Works makes major move

(ST. LOUIS, MO.) — The continuous growth of outdoor décor manufacturer MAGNET WORKS, LTD. has necessitated a move to a new facility. The company, whose popular products include MailWraps magnetic mailbox covers, BreezeArt garden and standard size flags, Yard DeSigns metal address stakes and plaques, and MatMates, interchangeable door mats, has done remarkably well in what otherwise is seen as a struggling economy.

The move, scheduled to take place before the end of the year, will provide MAGNET WORKS with nearly three times the space as their current facility. The new location is 51,000 square feet and MAGNET WORKS will occupy it entirely. The telephone numbers will remain the same.

“During the past five years, we’ve grown from 200 SKUs to nearly 1,500 items,” explains Curt Todd, co-owner of the successful company. “We outgrew our current warehouse nearly two years ago, so we’ve been inefficiently shuttling product back and forth between offsite locations. This new larger facility will allow us to employ more efficient warehouse management practices and improve order lead time, especially during peak shipping seasons. We’re also adding considerable space to our manufacturing plant which will allow us to add new technologies and expand our domestic manufacturing capabilities.

“Our move should be as smooth as silk,” Todd continued. “And we expect no pause in service to our customers. We’re starting 2009 with a new website, new facility and great new product! And we’re looking forward to continuing our growth!”

Founded in 1989 by Curt and Sue Todd when their search for a high-quality, interchangeable mailbox cover proved futile, MAGNET WORKS, LTD. now produces a myriad of decorative products for both indoor and outdoor use. Licensing artwork from more than 75 of the nation’s best artists for their unequalled product line, the company introduced their newest interchangeable door mat collection, MatMates, last year. Other popular items include:

MailWraps mailbox covers that attach securely with a strong magnetic strip along each side of the cover. This patented feature allows the reusable cover to stay put in any weather condition, yet makes it easy to change for seasons or holidays.

Yard DeSigns are metal address stakes and plaques, with magnetic art that is easy to change and fun to collect. All MailWraps and Yard DeSigns magnets are screen printed in the USA for incredible color reproduction and amazing outdoor durability. BreezeArt garden flags are 40% heavier than most, yet they have a softer, silkier feel for better drape and movement in the breeze.
