SnapRetail Unveils Cocktails for Causes Campaign

Pittsburgh, PA – SnapRetail, a company that makes it easy for retailers to use email, Facebook and Twitter to market products and increase sales, has unveiled an online fundraiser with a summer theme that will benefit the American Red Cross.

“Our customers are independent retailers, many of whom have been affected by the severe storms that have taken place across our country in recent weeks,” explained Crystal Vilkaitis, Director of Social Media for SnapRetail. “One retailer, St. John’s Auxiliary Gift Shop, is located in a hospital in Springfield, Missouri. They had several victims taken to their hospital and put out a call for donations on their Facebook page. Another retailer in Texas had a forest fire just across the street from her store. Our team decided we wanted to do something to help.”

SnapRetail kicked off today its Cocktails for Causes (C4C) campaign which involves a pledge to donate $1 to the American Red Cross for every person who indicates that they ‘like’ SnapRetail on its Facebook page. SnapRetail has not put a limit on the amount it will donate and the funds will go directly to Red Cross disaster relief via the Pittsburgh, Dallas and Atlanta chapters.

“To add a fun twist, after an individual takes action to ‘like’ the company’s FaceBook page, SnapRetail will ask them to rank their favorite summertime drink among 5 choices: Beer, Mimosa, Sangria, Margarita or Milk,” said Vilkaitis.

SnapRetail will celebrate the campaign with a retailer party on Friday, June 24th from 5-7pm at the Dallas Total Home & Gift market. An American Red Cross representative will be on hand in SnapRetail’s showroom (World Trade Center #256) for the event.

The campaign will conclude at SnapRetail’s live C4C event being held on July 15th from 6-8pm at the Atlanta Gift and Home Furnishings Show at America’s Mart (Building Two, Showroom #1800). At this event, the most popular drink selection will be served to guests. And final donations for the campaign will be collected.
