SCOUT by Bungalow Introduces Spring 2013 Collection

SCOUT by Bungalow, a leading supplier of fashion and lifestyle bags, bins, insulated totes and travel accessories for consumers across the country has just premiered its spring/summer 2013 collection, a 98% brand-new line now available online at http://www.bungalowco.com/. New style themes for the brand include the introduction of two fabrics, coated jersey and patent pleather, as well as the injection of a new hue, seafoam, a standout color in the marketplace this season.

In addition to these fashion influences, consumer feedback served as the main catalyst for the development and engineering of 5 new forms, including 2 coolers – the Double Wide and the Double Decker, a travel bag – the Jetsetter – and more. Containing best-selling colors and forms from seasons past, SCOUT’s spring 2013 collection embraces its customer’s longtime favorite styles while presenting new venues to showcase the brand’s fashion sensibility.

The new collection is presented in 5 color stories inspired by 5 themes SCOUT customers embody: seafoam & yellow, inspired by the ‘sungoddess’; navy plus, inspired by the ‘gym rat’; pink & green, inspired by the ‘social butterfly’; neutral, inspired by the ‘worker bee’; and last, pink, purple & orange, inspired by the ‘island hopper’. These color stories are supported by a fresh array of patterns that include layered paisleys, tie-dye influenced ikats, Turkish towel, zig-zag, and chevron stripes, as well as stenciled and tattoo-ed florals.

Just as SCOUT’s own customer changes up her wardrobe from winter to spring by bringing in new colors, styles, and fabrics of clothing, the brand has created a seasonal collection that is fashionably relevant and therefore meets the on-trend needs of its consumer. Of spring/summer 2013, co-owner and creative director Deb Johns notes, “Our spring collection spotlights high fashion colors seafoam and yellow as well as sweatshirt grey and bright pink paired with orange and violet. The colors and patterns are inspired by warm weather influences – they make for perfect transitional SCOUT pieces to carry from winter throughout spring and summer.”

SCOUT’s personalization service is offered in a wide selection of totes, with several additional forms to become available later in the season.
